Ever since the Christmas decorations came down, I’ve been in a funk. I’ve felt so uninspired to decorate the vacant spaces the Christmas decorations once occupied. It seems my decorating mojo has flown the coop. Hopefully it’s just a temporary slump. This week I spent some time gathering some inspiring winter decorating ideas to help reignite my decorating flame. Based on the inspiration I collected, it seems that I am desiring a simple, rustic look with lots of natural elements.
Clean and simply styled vignette.Mitten and greenery garland.Cotton stem wreath.Vintage ice skates and snow shoes.Antlers, pinecones and greenery.Glass jar candle holders with snow, greenery and pinecones.Natural greenery and berry wreath.Simply styled entry with branches in a vase.Twig wreath.Log candle holder centerpiece.Vintage metal tub with candles and greenery.Cotton stems in a vintage metal cylinder.Mercury tea lights.
Notice the emerging patterns? Wreaths, pine cones, twigs, greenery, candles and candle holders are obviously what I’m drawn to right now.
I’m feeling a tad more inspired now. I think I’ll go rummage through my junk and scour the backyard to see what I can come up with.
How do you fill the decor void after the holidays? I’d love to hear in the comments!
