Now that November is upon us, it seem as if everyone’s gearing up for Christmas, but I am trying to hold out on the Christmas decorating until after Thanksgiving.
With the retail world already bombarding us with Christmas, I wanted to write a post to inspire you to keep November fall-ish in your home and hold out on the Christmas decor a little longer.
I have no problem with people decorating for Christmas early, in fact, I’m dying to do it myself! However, I think it’s important to preserve the Thanksgiving tradition of thanking God for His blessings and His grace alive in our home without Christmas overshadowing the original purpose of Thanksgiving.
To help keep us all (myself included) from getting influenced by all of the pretty Christmas decor everywhere, I compiled a list of my favorite home decor items for fall. You’ll notice everything is pretty neutral, but is still interesting because of the variety of textures. I love using texture in my fall decor as I think it brings a sense of warmth and coziness into the home. Most of these items would transition well into holiday decor too 🙂
