A few weeks ago, Ruffles and Rust, a fabulous vintage market here in Snohomish, gathered a handful of vendors to decorate a new construction home. Each vendor was given a room in the house to decorate in their own style by mixing new, vintage, and handcrafted items. The house was then opened to the public to come tour, shop and be inspired.
The home turned out beautiful and was filled with tons of eye-candy.
I didn’t end up buying anything, but I did take lots of pictures to share with you.
I think the kitchen was my favorite room, so let’s start there…
What I found so great about this house was that is was a new construction home, yet it was chock full of character solely because of all of the vintage inspired furnishings and accessories that were brought in. The walls weren’t painted with new colors and none of the rooms were altered, they were purely just accessorized.
I wanted the awesome vintage metal cart below so bad and kept coming back to it, but I just couldn’t pull the trigger on the hefty price tag.
The family room was a great mix of vintage and new, giving it a classy yet welcoming feeling.
The entry hall was very simply decorated but let you know the home had personality as soon as you entered.
Even the landing at the top of the stairs was well put together with accessories.
The first bedroom was the smallest, but it was immediately my favorite. I’m a sucker for a nautical theme!
The second bedroom was also super cute all decked out in black and white.
I only got one decent picture of the master bedroom because people kept getting in my way
It was the only room in the whole house that had a wall painted a different color.
I absolutely loved how the master bathroom tub was wrapped in beadboard. I’m now plotting on how I can create the look in my bathroom!
The last bedroom was set up as an office. Doesn’t it make you want to sit in there and be productive?!
If this kinda stuff is right up your alley and you’re a local NW vintage-lovin’ shopper, Ruffles and Rust is holding a barn flea market in Snohomish on August 17th, so mark your calendars! These events never disappoint!
*I have no affiliation with Ruffles and Rust, I just love them to pieces!
